Chemical Dependency
North Homes, Inc. Chemical Dependency Program, located in our Grand Rapids office is designed to provide successful treatment and education to adolescents with chemical dependency concerns. Our program is comprised of three components:

North Homes, Inc. has several qualified staff members to conduct Rule 25 chemical health assessments resulting in professional recommendations to attain a chemical free life style.
Our treatment program is offered to males and females 10 - 18 years of age who have completed a chemical health assessment resulting in a diagnosis of chemical abuse or chemical dependency. The treatment component consists of four phases which are outlined as follows:
Phase 1-Four Weeks in duration consisting of:
1Intake and Orientation
2A Visual Life Story
3Cognitive and Group Process
Phase 2-Also Fours Weeks in duration consisting of:1Identifying and Applying the Step Works of Recovery
2Individual treatment planning
3Introduction of support network
Phase 3-Four Weeks in length consisting of:1Completion of the Fifth Step of Recovery
2Development of an aftercare plan
3Utilizing support networks
4Medallion ceremony
Phase 4-Aftercare consists of:1Maintaining group support
2Daily journal entries and weekly group support
3Continued contact with peers and support staff
Our Education Component teaches adolescents about the physical, emotional and spiritual effects of chemical use. During the course of this class, participants are introduced to the "world of recovery", view educational materials, participate in group discussion and complete written assignments. These classes are offered for a nominal fee one evening each month for three hours.
